As the first station in Macau peninsula. It was supposed to open with the Taipa Line phase 1. But got delayed due to citizens complains.
Being the first underground and the largest MLRT station, it connects to a bus terminal and a Pick-up & Drop-off Area for Tourist Coaches.
MLM had planned this station to be shared with 3 lines: Taipa Line, South Line and West Line. Making Barra a major transport hub.
Praia Grande Bay
Taipa Line runs on the Sai Van Bridge above this bay from Macau peninsula to Taipa.
This station is located on the most North Eastern side of Taipa with a great view. It is supposed to mainly serve Jardim Oceano, a very large aparment complex in Taipa.
Though it is right next to it, barely any passengers take the MLRT as the apartment complex itself is big enough to have their own APM line.
This station is located in western side of Taipa. It bringing people to Windsor Arch (an apartment complex)
It used to serve the Macau Jockey Club and also act as a transportation hub until Macau Jockey Club was permently closed in 2024 and the opening of Barra LRT station in 2023.
